Marin Valentine’s Ball:
A night in old Shanghai

Supervisor Hal Brown presided over the 13th annual Marin Valentine’s Ball held on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

The Marin Civic Center Exhibit Hall was magically transformed by Hartmann Studios to an evening in Shanghai. Attendees enjoyed a hosted cocktail party starting at 6:00 P.M. followed by live and silent auctions, a sit-down dinner prepared by SAGE Catering, and dancing to the music of Big Bang Beat.

Auction items included: an eight day trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, a Paella dinner for 50 people prepared in your home by Wildfox Restaurant, a private wine crush and BBQ at Paradise View Vineyard in Sonoma county, jewelry, art wine and much more.

Since 1997 the Marin Valentine’s Ball has raised awareness and support for charitable organizations that, in turn, benefit children, families, and elders in need throughout the
North Bay.

The 2009 Ball proceeds benefited the North Bay Children’s Center, Sunny Hills Services, The Godmothers of Timothy Murphy School, and Whistlestop.
